Navigating the System
Every community has a system of care that provides services to help families in their efforts to raise children and meet the needs of youth, this system is considered a Continuum of Care. Below are the basic sectors designed to provide services and resources to families.
- Faith Based
- Juvenile Justice
- Children Services
- Social Services
- Social Workers
Families Matter fits into the last two sectors. For prevention, we provide educational programs to help people make better, more informed decisions and our focus on problem solving offers an alternative to traditional treatment or counseling. We help solve problems.
Part of our role is to help make the continuum more accessible and seamless. If further services are required, we will make an appropriate referral to another point along the continuum and help people connect with those resources.
